Join Marah Johnson while we create this Altered Chipboard binder....perfect for your 2010 musings, art journaling, and experiments in creativity. The binder is filled with 40 plus pages..(journaling pages, chip board, cardboard, vintage book pages, envelopes, and so much more!)

Please bring any book pages YOU might want to include into your journal along with any embellishments dear to your heart. (For example if you have any maps, childrens books, etc, bring them in to include in your book.)  Marah will provide a TON of imagery choices for your cover. A selection of paints and and of course lots of surprises are also included!

Irene Tan
"Pretty in Distress" Layout
Date: Friday, January 29, 2010

We love Irene Tan's (aka.Scrapperlicious) layouts and now we         have a chance to spend the afternoon with her and make one of her designs on the same evening. It may be all gray skies and gloom outside, but indoors, the colors will be silver and gorgeous!  This layout features embossed chipboard, stitched mulberry paper, 3D flowers, felt ribbon, and jeweled butterflies all by Prima.  Plus learn some great masking techniques.

Travel Treasures (Altered Box, ATC's, and mini-album project)
Date: Saturday January 30, 2010

Join Irene Tan in creating an altered box to fill with altered treasures new and old.  In this class, you will create an altered treasure chest, three ATCs and an acrylic mini album while learning a vast knowledge of tricks and tips of the distress world!  You will not only learn how to use the new alcohol ink fillable pens, you will get to take one with you at the end of the class!  You will also get to use and keep three masks.  Other techniques covered in the class include (but are not limited to):
  • Water Distressing
  • Alcohol inks on various surfaces for effects
  • Masking
  • Various techniques for distressing
  • Misting
  • Stamping
  • Dimensional accents
Quilted Washi Paper Cards

Michael will show you this fun technique of using foam sheets with Washi Paper and his beautiful stamps. Michaels classes are always fun and informative.

280: Take the De Anza Exit and head south towards the Starbucks and the church will be on your left as you approach Stevens Creek Blvd. A U-turn at Stevens Creek Blvd. brings you back to the church.

85: Take the De Anza Blvd. north towards Starbucks.  Go 1.6 miles, crossing Stevens Creek Blvd. and the church will be on your right.

Paisleys Galore (Card Class)

This class was originally slated to use Michael's Wild Animals stamps.  Unfortunately, the stamps are still in production and he was forced to change this class.  It will now feature his Paisley stamps.
As usual, though, you'll walk away with lots of ideas and techniques.
